Mental health first aid training October 9 in Decatur

DECATUR — You are invited to attend our free mental health first aid training.

Mental health first aid teaches adults how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health concerns or substance use.

This 7.5 hour training gives you the skills you need to provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use concern and connect them to appropriate care.

Reasons to become a Mental Health First Aider:

 

1. Always being prepared to help those in need

2. Mental Health Challenges are common

3. Like physical health issues, mental health challenges can occur without warning

4. You care and are someone who wants to help
