CLINTON — The public is invited to a free pond and lake management seminar starting at 6 p.m. on August 30. The seminar is sponsored by the DeWitt and Macon County Conservation District.
The seminar will be an opportunity for pond owners to get questions answered. Mike Mounce, fish biologist with the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) will present the program.
Participants will learn about proper fish stocking rates and a demonstration of the electro fishing techniques fish biologist use to determine contents of ponds.
Bring your lawn chairs, questions and plants
for identification.
A light meal will be provided
The pond is located on Graves Farms at 7500 N. Jenkins Switch Road., Clinton. RSVP by calling the DeWitt County SWCD at (217) 935-2181 ex 3 by August 26.
