CLINTON — Allen and Margaret Sprague will celebrate their 75th wedding anniversary on Nov. 2.
Margaret Jackson and Allen Sprague were married on Nov. 2, 1942, in the First United Methodist Church, in Lincoln, Ill. Allen spent many years farming in the Beason area and worked with Hoblits Seed Co., in Atlanta, Ill. until he retired.
As her children became more independent, Margaret attended Lincoln Junior College and Illinois State University, Normal, graduating with a teaching degree. She loved her job teaching in Broadwell, Ill. until she retired.
Their children are Martha (Terry) Deavers, of Clinton; Dr. Jack Sprague, of Centralia, Ill., and Jane (Steve) King, of Oxford, Iowa. A daugther, Mollie Langley, is deceased.
Allen and Margaret also have eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
