CLINTON — D. Ileen Schumacher, 86, of Clinton, passed away at 4:57 p.m. on August 19, 2019, at Manor Court, Clinton.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 23, 2019, at Oak Park Cemetery, Clinton, with Ernie Harvey, Jr. officiating.  There will be no visitation.  Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, is in charge of arrangements.

Ileen was born on May 11, 1933, in Clinton, the daughter of Wendell and Mildred (Shriver) Myers.  She married J. O. “Jack” Schumacher on April 9, 1951, in Clinton.

Survivors include her husband, J. O. “Jack” Schumacher, Clinton; children,  Cathy (Bill) Lobb, Clinton, and John (Linda) Schumacher, Clinton; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; sister, Barb (John) Lund, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and one sister.

Ileen, along with her husband, Jack, was the co-owner and operator of “The Shack” in Clinton from 1966–2005.  She was the artist who designed the pewter Christmas Tree ornaments of Clinton’s historical buildings for the Clinton Chamber of Commerce and the DeWitt County Museum from 1987–1993.  Most of all, Ileen enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family.
