Donna was born on June 4, 1947, in Clinton, the second daughter of the late Raymond Otto and Bernice Faye (Nelson) Carter.
As told in stories, she managed to get into trouble but also got her way a lot. She attended CHS, but, eventually, in the late 60s, she started working for Charles Todd until its closing in 1996.
Today she leaves behind a son, Michael Carter; granddaughters Karamay Carter and Isabella Carter; a grandson, Richard Carter, and great-granddaughter, Paisley Brewer; brother, Roger Carter; sister, Vivian Crutcher; and sister-in-law, Bernadine Carter, along with a long list of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Zelma Carter, Thelma Carter, and Sharon McGhee; brother, Russell Carter; and brothers-in-law Fred McGhee and Russell Crutcher; and one niece, Tracy Crutcher.
Donna lived a life loving her family and enjoyed playing cards. We will always remember her for her spunk and joking; you never knew what she would say next. She will be greatly missed by all.
