CLINTON — Edward Joseph Duvall, 87, of Clinton, passed away at 1:40 p.m. on Thursday, October 17, 2019, peacefully at his home.
A celebration of Joe’s life will be held at a later date. Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, assisted the family with cremation rites.
He was born on January 28, 1932, in Clinton, to George “Jack” and Nora (Conroy) Duvall. He married Norma Wickenhauser on February 15, 1956.
Surviving are his children, Karen Manning, Joseph Duvall and Susan (Vernon) Vinson, all of Clinton; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; brother Mike (Paula) Duvall, of Wisconsin, and sister Theresa Duvall, of Clinton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, two brothers, wife Norma, daughter Nancy McKenna and granddaughter Keisha Wells.
Joe was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving from 1950-1954, and he retired from Caterpillar after 32 years.
He was an avid Cubs, Bears and Illini fan. He was a Golden Eagle at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #593. Joe enjoyed fishing and he especially loved his grandchildren and spending time with them.
A special thank you from the family to his hospice nurses for taking such great care of him. He will be dearly missed.
