CLINTON — Mary Lou Mills, 91, of Clinton, passed away at 1:06 a.m. on October 21, 2019, at Liberty Village, Clinton.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2019, at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with Ernie Harvey, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Mausoleum Park Cemetery, Clinton. Visitation will be held from 10–11 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to the DeWitt County Fairgrounds Project, c/o the DeWitt Co. Fair Board.
Mary Lou was born on June 15, 1928, in rural Kenney, the daughter of Linn O. and Mabel (Isaac) Rau. She married Darrell Mills on December 1, 1945, in Clinton.
Survivors include her husband Darrell Mills, Clinton; children, David (Paula) Mills, Clinton; Daniel (Sharon) Mills, Clinton; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and brother, Earl (Betty) Rau, rural Kenney.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Debra Ackerman; three sisters, Charlotte Holloway, Heyne Rau, and Mildred Clark; and one brother, John Rau.
Mary Lou was a member of the First Christian Church, Clinton, the DeWitt County Home Extension, and the DeWitt County Farm Bureau Women’s Committee.
