Norma Wilson Heath

COVE CITY, N.C. — Norma Wilson Heath, of Cove City, N.C., went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on July 5, 2020, at home.

A nurse by profession, she served with her husband faithfully on the mission field of Liberia, West Africa, in the early 1970s.  Later, they served in Micronesia on the islands of Pohnpei, Kosrae and Guam, and then on Oahu, Hawaii, from 1985-2003.

She was a member of the New Testament Baptist Church, in Kinston, N.C.

Norma is survived by her husband of 57 years, Dalton Heath; a daughter, Andrea Heath Milner ,and husband Paul, of Smithfield, N.C.; granddaughter, Summer Milner, Cary, N.C., and grandson, Bradley Milner, Smithfield. 

Also surviving are three sisters, Bessie Lee, Carolyn Bleavins and Alice Fitzgerald, of Illinois; brother, Thomas Wilson, of Illinois; and foster sister, Dorothy McCoy, of Cove City.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Earl and Mary Wilson, of Illinois, and brother, David Wilson, of Alaska.

Services were held at New Testament Baptist Church, on Monday, July 13, with DR. Tim Daniel officiating.  A modified social-distancing, no contact visitation took place one hour prior to the service.  Burial was at Baker Cemetery, Cove City.  The service was live-streamed.
