CLINTON — The C.H. Moore Homestead DeWitt County Museum’s final “Victorian Christmas” candlelight tours of this season will take place on Friday, Dec. 20. On that evening, The Daniels Sisters will be the vocalists of the evening, and the Nelson family will appear  in full Victorian dress.

Parking is available on the lot across from the museum. Guests are asked to enter at the front doors anytime between the hours of 5-7:30 p.m. The mansion remains open for viewing until 8 p.m.  There are no reservations required. Candlelight tours are self-guided and begin upon arrival.

Admission is $5 for adults, ages 12-18 $2 and free admission for ages 11-under, as well as all DeWitt County Museum Association members and, when applicable, their families and/or guests.

Among items of interest currently on exhibit is one of the four clock faces from the 1893 DeWitt County Courthouse as well as other courthouse relics, a remarkable quilt from the museum collection, which is rarely on display, and many additional items of local historical interest.

The Museum Gift Shop also will be open during these extended hours.

During the three previous candlelight tour dates, hundreds of visitors from across DeWitt County, across Illinois, as well as  out of state residents, have attended the special evening holiday tours.
