CLINTON — As with the state, Clinton and DeWitt County is seeing a decline in coronavirus cases. The city council received a report last week about operations at Warner Hospital.
“I’m glad to report that this wave of the COVID-19 virus is put to bed,” said Warner Hospital & Health Services CEO Paul Skowron. “And, the Omicron is almost gone.”
Skowron said the Omicron positivity rate was low, and things were starting to feel “normal.”
“It was nice to experience a snow storm last week,” Skowron said. “It reminded us that we’re all in this together.”
“So, let’s just hope there is not a new virus in the next few months,” he said.
Skowron said hospital staff had regained its health.
“But, don’t forget, it’s still flu season,” he said. “So, we still have to distance a little bit.”
He advised people return to seeing their doctors on a regular basis after many postponed appointments during COVID restrictions.
“We need to get back to the normal, preventive medicine. But, in general, I’m happy to report operations are back to normal again.”
