Sheryl A. Martens 60, Clinton Unlawful display of Registration, Operating Uninsured Motor Vehicle. Notice to Appear issued

On 06/12/20 Clinton Police arrested Jennifer D. Peterson 41, Kenney for Disorderly Conduct and Assault. Peterson was transported to the DeWitt County Jail and released to Corrections.

On 06/14/20 Clinton Police arrested Kim L. McGlothlin 47, Clinton for Driving Under the Influence. McGlothlin was transported to the DeWitt County Jail and released to Corrections.

June 5-12

Leilia Young, 18, Bloomington was issued citations for Speeding (26-34 miles over limit) and No Valid Driver’s License. Young was given a Notice to Appear and was released.

Sara Stokes, 25, Naperville, was issued a citation for Speeding (80 mph in a 55 mph zone). Stokes was given a Notice to Appear and was released.

Investigation into the scene of an accident which occurred at 1653 on 5/29/20 revealed that David Yeoward, 56, Clinton, was traveling west bound on IL 54. Padma Schwenzer, 30, Normal was traveling west bound on IL 54, as well. Schwenzer activated her turn signal to turn right onto Reagan Road. Yeoward stated he was looking in the field to the south of 54. When Yeoward looked back at the roadway, Schwenzer had slowed to make the turn and the front end of Yeoward’s vehicle collided with the rear end of Schwenzer. Schwenzer’s vehicle was forced forward off the roadway, in to the ditch on the north west corner of Reagan Rd and IL. 54. Schwenzer’s vehicle came to rest on its passenger side. Yeoward’s vehicle sustained major front-end damage. Schwenzer’s vehicle sustained major damage to most of the vehicle. Yeoward was issued a citation for Failure to Reduce Speed/Accident. Yeoward was given a Notice to Appear and was released.

Investigation into the scene of an accident which occurred at 1932 on 6/4/20 revealed that Eric Isaac, 52, Clinton was turning north onto Leghorn Road from a field entrance on the east side of the roadway. Isaac stated as he was turning north, the roadway was partially obstructed, due to the height of the grass on the east side ditch and a tree over hanging the roadway on a crest. Christopher Schick, 39, Clinton, was traveling south on Leghorn Road approaching the field entrance where Isaac was turning. Schick was unable to see Isaac as he was entering the roadway. Schick hit Isaac on the roadway, causing Isaac to go off the roadway to the east of the ditch. Isaac was thrown from the vehicle, landing in front of the vehicle. Schick continued south from Isaac, stopping in the east ditch. Schick had airbag deployment and sustained front end damage along with the front left flat tire. Schick’s vehicle was towed by Baum’s towing. Isaac made arrangements for the vehicle to be towed. No citations were issued.

Investigation into the scene of an accident which occurred at 1553 on 6/3/20 revealed that Jacoya Williams, 26, Peoria and Haily Blankenship, 19, Bloomington, were traveling south on US 51, approaching the intersection of State Highway 10, when Williams bumped into the rear end of Blankenship, causing minimal damage. Blankenship’s vehicle was driven from the scene. Williams was issued citations for Failure to Reduce Speed/Accident and Operating Uninsured Vehicle. Williams was given a Notice to Appear and Released.

Tasheka Jones, 40, Decatur, was issued citations for Operating Uninsured Vehicle and Driving While License Suspended. Jones was given a Notice to Appear and was released.

Allen Taylor, 51, Weldon, was arrested and charged with Domestic Btry/Physical Contact. Taylor posted the necessary bond and was released.

Michael McIntire, 61, Kenney, was arrested and charged with Domestic BTRY/Physical Contact. McIntire, being unable to post the necessary bond remains lodged in the DeWitt County Jail.

Tronae Leonard, 28, Decatur, was issued a citation for Operating Uninsured Vehicle. Leonard was given a Notice to Appear and was released.

All subjects are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
