CLINTON — The city saw a net increase in overall revenue over the same period a year ago. City finance commissioner Tom Edmunds reported the information to city council members on Tuesday.
Edmunds said he asked city treasurer Clint Lichtenwalter to compile some figures comparing current city tax revenue to a year ago. While two classes of city revenue were down, overall Clinton experienced a net increase.
City sales tax revenue is up about $32,000 from a year ago, Edmunds reported. Income tax is down $5,000.
“Video gaming went in the tank,” Edmunds said. “Of course, you know, with everything being shut, there’s no possibility of getting any revenue.”
Edmunds said gaming revenue was down “$34,000-plus,” but use tax is up $40,000.
