New colors for the Homestead

Contractors are working to repair, scrape and repaint the C.H. Moore mansion. Some of the deteriorated portions of the house’s facade revealed the original square nails used in its construction, museum director Joey Long said. The museum board chose colors it felt were more historically accurate.
