Staging begins for wind project
Gordon Woods / Journal — Work has started on the staging area, known as a lay-down yard, for the Alta Farms II wind energy project. The lay-down yard is located on Astor Road, northeast of Hallsville about three-quarters of a mile north of Rt. 10. Workers on Friday bulldozed an area in preparation for a white rock surface. Trucks unloaded rock at the north end of the approximately 20 acre site.
