CLINTON — Just after 6:30 p.m. Friday, emergency responders were dispatched to the 100 block of East Van Buren Street in Clinton.Police report a 32-year-old male was driving a pickup truck west on Van Buren and struck at 69-year-old female who was walking north across Van Buren just east of the South Center Street intersection.

The woman was transported to an area hospital where she is listed in critical condition.

Clinton Police are being assisted by Illinois State Police. The investigation is ongoing.
