KENNEY — C. W. Burnett, 68, of Kenney, passed away at 12:47 p.m. on June 4, 2020, at St. Clara’s Manor, Lincoln.
 Private services will be conducted on Tuesday June 9, 2020, at East Park Baptist Church, Decatur, with Pastor Ryan Banman officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Kenney. Private visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church. The family entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with arrangements.
Memorials may be directed to the East Park Baptist Church.
C.W. was born on November 5, 1951, in Keokuk, Iowa, the son of Raymond and Ruth (McCoy) Burnett. He married Karen DeNeui on September 25, 1971 in Loveland, Colo.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Burnett, Kenney; children, Cindy Burnett, Decatur; Becky (Jeff) Hanlin, McLean, Ill.; grandchildren, Will Goble; Cheyenne Hanlin; and Levi Hanlin, brother, Rodger Burnett, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and sister, Vivian (Daryl) Poole, Des Moines, Iowa; and one sister-in-law, Toni Burnett, Iowa
 He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and one sister.
C.W. had been a semi-truck driver for 49 years. He loved traveling in his truck and on his motorcycle, having been to 48 of the states and parts of Canada. He had also volunteered delivering supplies to hurricane victims in the southern states.  C.W. was a member for East park Baptist Church, Decatur.  He had accepted the Lord as a teenager.
