CLINTON — Daniel “T” Lee Barry, 63, passed at 10:34 p.m. Tuesday October 3, 2017, from a long, hard battle at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
A memorial service will be held Friday October 6, 2017 11:00 am, at the Church of God in Clinton.
Danny was born on the September 14, 1954, in Clinton, to Frances (Chandler) and J.R. Evans and was a lifelong area resident.
He is survived by his life partner and wife, Carol Johnson of Clinton, Daughter Jamie (Matt) Cook of Mclean Ill., Daniel Lee Barry J.R., of Heyworth, Ill., Rachael (Caleb) Sherwood of Heyworth, Ill., Jennifer Sherwood of Heyworth Ill., Audrey (Brett) Barry, of Lincoln Ill., Josh (Kara) McGhee of Clinton, Ashley Barry of Clinton. He is also survived by his brother Mike Evans of Clinton, Jack (Rachel) Evans of Marion Ill., Katherine Dorsey of Clinton.
Danny was a proud grandpa to Marissa, Mathew, Braden, Dalton, Taylor, Josh, Kaylyne, Joshua, Shawn, Sierra, Nevaeh, Xenyeh, Wyatt, Anyiah, Thomas , Zane Tessa, Tayha. He was also proud great grandpa to Aubree, Jakob and Bailey.
Danny had many lifelong friends and family that loved him and were there during his battle. His family can’t thank you enough.
Danny is preceded in death by his mother Frances, Father J.R., Brother Jeff, Nephew Jeffy and grandson Waylon. He is also preceeded in death by his Aunt Maddie, Aunt Onie and Uncle Eddie.
Danny loved the Chicago Bears and the Chicago Cubs. He was a carpenter by trade and worked at many businesses throughout his life. Danny was a lover of country cruising and listening to music. He loved his family and friends.
The family wishes to thank the nurses, doctors and staff at Decatur Memorial Hospital 4th floor ICU.
