NEW ORLEANS, La. - Hope Shinneman Bennett, 40, of Waveland, Mississippi, passed away at 11:40 pm Oct. 4, 2018 at Oschner Hospital in New Orleans.
A celebration of life and benefit will be held at Breakers in Clinton on Nov. 17 at 3 pm. Cremation rites have been accorded.
Hope was born on Dec. 30, 1977, in Champaign, Ill. to Marion Schweitzer and John Shinneman in Champaign, IL. She married Chris Bennett on March 3, 2002 in McLean, Ill. Together, they have one daughter Tatyana Bennett.
Survivors include her husband Chris Bennett and daughter Tatyana Bennett both of Waveband, Miss., mother Marion Schweitzer (Paul), of McLean, Ill., sister Kim Simonton, of Clinton; step-sister Kelly Schweitzer, of McLean, Ill. and step-brother Kirk Schweitzer, of Bloomington. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father John Shinneman; aunt Dorothy Lowe (Bob) and brother in law Randy Simonton.
Hope graduated from Olympia High School.
