CLINTON — James Larry Andrews, 69, of Clinton, passed away at 11:30 a.m. on November 28, 2017, at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Mo.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at Woodlawn Cemetery, Clinton, with Rev. Fr. James Henning officiating. There will be no visitation. Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be directed to Angel Tree or Second Chance Pet Adoption.
Larry was born on March 24, 1948, in Clinton, the son of William H. and Florence A. (Keatley) Andrews.
Survivors include his children, Leslie Andrews, Clinton; Daniel (Keri) Andrews, Gibson City, Ill.; and Thomas Andrews, Carmichael, Calif.; three grandchildren: Kaleb Volker-USAF, Charleston, S.C.; Abbey (Colton) Nixon, Clinton; and Jack Andrews, Gibson City, Ill.; Siblings: William G. (Phyllis) Andrews, Bloomington, Ill.; and Jane (Jered) Hooker, Clinton; and former son-in-law, Keith Volker, Clinton.
Larry married Cynthia L. Armstrong on March 20, 1971 in Clinton.
His parents preceded him in death.
Larry bravely served his country during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1968-1970. He worked for Illinois Central Gulf, Southern Pacific, and retired from Union Pacific Railroad. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, spending time with his grandchildren, and attending their sporting events.
