CLINTON — Larry R. Florey, 76, of Clinton, passed away at 4:15 p.m. on May 1, 2020, at his family residence, Clinton.
Private services will be conducted on Thursday, May 7, 2020, at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with his son, David Florey officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Oak Park Cemetery, Clinton.
Memorials may be directed to the Pitbull Rescue, Clinton.
Larry was born February 6, 1944 in Decatur, IL the son of Raymond Udell and Donna Jean (VanCamp) Florey. He married Donna S. Dearing in 1966 in Decatur, IL. He later married Pam Parker in 1982 in Clinton, IL.
Survivors include his children, David (Miranda) Florey, Pontiac, Ill.; Luke (Brandi) Florey, Newton, Ill.; and Debra (John) Groves, Clinton; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; half-sister, Sandy and half-brother, Sidney
He was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather, Charles M. Mills, and half-brother, Gary Florey.
Larry was an operating engineer for 37 years, retiring in 2002. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
