CLINTON — Robert L. O’Dea, Sr., 90, of Clinton, passed away at 8:59 a.m. on September 22, 2020, at Generations of Lincoln, Lincoln, Ill.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2020, at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, Steve Soice officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Clinton. Visitation will be held from 1–2 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Robert was born on January 14, 1930, in Clinton, the son of Dennis and Ila (Riddle) O’Dea. He married Charlotte Pendleton on September 12, 1954, in Heyworth.
Survivors include his wife Charlotte O’Dea, Clinton; son, Robert L. O’Dea, Jr., Clinton; grandsons, Robert Kyle O’Dea, Clinton, and Mark Bradley Moore, Simpsonville, S.C., and great-grandchildren Olivia Grace Moore and Rylan Ozias Moore, Simpsonville, S.C.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Robert retired from Illinois Central Railroad as a brakeman after 26 years of service. He also farmed in Wapella and Hallsville.
