CLINTON — Carmella “Dolly” Gullone, 99, of Clinton, passed away at 8:30 p.m. on July 4, 2018, at Manor Court, Clinton.
Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 7, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Clinton, with the Rev. Fr. James Henning celebrant. Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday at the church. Inurnment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Saddle Brook, N.J., at a later date. Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, assisted the family with cremation rites.
Memorials may be directed to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Clinton, or the Clinton Community Education Foundation for Read Across Clinton.
Carmella was born on March 11, 1919, in Philadelphia, Pa., the daughter of Salvador “Sam” and Grace (Andolina) Bonitatibus. She married Paul Gullone on January 12, 1941, in Avella, Pa. He passed away on March 4, 1978.
Survivors include her children Paulette Latrecchia, Palm Beach, Fla.’ Patricia (Camilo) Sartie, Clinton; Gary (Barbara) Gullone, Clinton; Kenneth (Roseanne) Gullone, Wayne, N.J.; six grandchildren, Tom (Leslie) DiMartino, Las Vegas, Nev.; Joe (Kristen) Sartie, Clinton; Matthew (Elizabeth) Gullone, Galena, Ill.; Andrew (Katherine) Gullone, Pittsburgh, Pa.; Brittany (finacé Christopher) Gullone, Philadelphia, Pa.; Nicole Gullone, Philadelphia, Pa.; four great-grandchildren, Kyle DiMartino, Jenna Sartie, Vincent Gullone, and Cora Gullone.
Carmella was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Clinton. Grandma G spent many days helping students at Webster School, attending field trips. She also spent many hours helping run the concession stand for Clinton High School and Clinton Junior High School track meets.
