FARMER CITY — Christopher L. Chrispen, 39, of Farmer City, passed away on Friday, August 20, 2021, at 8:17 a.m. at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 27, 2021, at the Lodge Church of God, in Lodge, Ill., with Steve Keagle officiating. There will be no visitation.
Memorials may be made to his wife, Grace Norfleet.
Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, of Farmer City, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Chris was born on April 19, 1982, in Bloomington, a son of Herman L. and Carol A. Cannon Chrispen. He married Grace Norfleet on September 25, 2017, in Monticello, Illinois.
He is survived by his wife, Grace Norfleet, of Farmer City; daughter, Hope Chrispen, of Farmer City; son, Caleb Chrispen, of Farmer City, ; brother, Steve Chrispen, of Carbondale, Ill.; and sisters, Renee (David) Mix, of Clinton, and Sara (Eric Hughes) Chrispen, of DeLand, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Chris was the manager of Huck’s, in Farmer City.
Chris was a loving family man who had a heart of gold. He had a laugh and smile that could light up a room! A few of his favorite things were fishing and eating Chinese food, while watching, “Twister.” His most favorite thing was being with his family and his dog, Bear. Chris was a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan and loved collecting cards. One thing the kids will never forget is playing video games, board games and how he was always there to support them. As a child, Chris enjoyed playing baseball and wrestling.
