CLINTON — Delores June Owens, 92 of Clinton, passed away 4:15 p.m. on December 31, 2023, at the Litchfield Health and Rehab, Litchfield, Ill.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at the First Baptist Church, Clinton, with Pastor Jonathan Roberson officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Clinton. Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday at the First Baptist Church, Clinton. The family has entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with arrangements.

June was born on November 11, 1931, in Whitmore Township., Macon County, Ill., the daughter of James and Winnie Grace (Stine) Arthur. She married Joel Clifton Edwards II in 1949. He passed away in 1956. She later married Donald E. “Don” Owens on June 12, 1993, in Waynesville. He passed away on January 20, 2014.

Survivors include her children, Jean Meyer, Hillsboro, Ill.; JoAnne Fort, Arcadia, Fla.; and Pauline Marie Gaultney, Kewadin, Mich.; six grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

June was preceded in death by her parents; son, Joel C. Edwards; daughter, Judith Ann Holt; sons-in-law, Kent Holt, Bill Meyer, and Johnny Gaultney; four sisters, three half-brothers and two half-sisters.

June was a member of the First Baptist Church, Clinton. She loved to sew and cook, and everybody wanted to eat her apple pies.
