CLINTON — Dwight “Pat” Butler, 58, of Clinton, passed away at 4:47 a.m. on March 12, 2022, at his family home in Clinton.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 17, 2022, at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with Scott Marsh officiating. Burial will follow at Maroa Cemetery, Maroa, and a dinner at the Clinton Eagles Lodge after the graveside services. Visitation will be held from 5–7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to Warner Hospital and Health Services or Cancer Care Specialist of Decatur.
Dwight was born on December 15, 1963, in Decatur, the son of Raymond B. and Edna F. (Decker) Butler.
Survivors include his children, Emily (Fiancé Jamie Polen) Butler, Maroa; Trenton (Kristen) Butler, Clinton; and Javan Bristow, Clinton; five grandchildren, Bentley Lester, Jackson Lester, James Polen, Brayden Parker, Addalyn Parker; siblings, Geraldine (“Bussy’) Carman, Harned, Ky.; Marty (Debbie) Butler, Harned, Ky.; Chris Butler, Carmi, Ill.; Jennifer (Mike) Williams, Carmi, Ill., and Jeff (Linda) Butler, Leitchfield, Ky.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Susie Russell.
Pat worked for McElroy Metal for 38 years. He enjoyed Jeeps, gardening, and mowing lawns but most all spending time with his family and grandchildren.
