NORMAL — Florence M. Markiewicz, 98 of Normal, formerly of Clinton, was reunited with her husband on Valentine’s Day, Thursday, February 14, 2019.

Cremation rites will be accorded and a Celebration of Christian Mass will be held at a later date in Baltimore, Maryland. Inurnment will be held at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Baltimore, Md.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Florence was born on June 14, 1920, in Baltimore, Md., to Harry and Anna (Rolfes) Brown. She married Edward F. Markiewicz on January 31, 1942, in Baltimore. He preceded her in death on November 16, 1979.

Florence is survived by her children, Joann F. (Valdis) Ozolins, Warrenton, Va., and Terri (Don) Brendley, Bloomington. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Donna (Mike) Miller, Kendra (Mike) Bittle, Jeff (Leann) Ozolins, Nicole (Jeff) Frank and Chris Brendley along with seven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Florence was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church, Clinton, where she served on the Alter and Rosary Society.

Florence was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be deeply missed by all her family.
