UNION, Mo. — Karen Kay Shinneman, of Union Missouri, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2017.
Services for Karen will be held at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21 at Bethel Baptist Church, Lonedell, Mo.
Memorials may be made to the Karen K. Shinneman memorial fund, c/o Chris Dawson, 1601 S. Service Road, St. Clair, MO 63077.
Karen was born on June 12, 1955, in Clinton, to Charles H. Newman and Delores Wolfe Smith. She was married to Steve Dawson and later married John Shinneman. Both preceded her in death.
Karen is survived by her two sons, Jamie Dawson, Union, Mo., and Christopher (Sara) Dawson, St. Clair, Mo. Also surviving are her grandchildren Tyler, Justice, Mattias, Isiah, Adrian, Carson, Kaylen and two great-grandchildren; siblings, Brandi (Gary) Alsup and Brad (Mitzi) Willard, both of Clinton; Jill (Mark) Karkiewicz, Stevens Point, Wis.; Gregg (Kim) Willard, Palm Harbor, Fla., and several nieces and nephews.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents, step-mother Linda Newman, step-father Ray Smith, and sisters Violet June Newman and Sheila Campbell.
