CLINTON — Kathleen Frick, a fierce-loving, warrior left us peacefully on September 22, 2024.
Born on June 22, 1954, Kathleen lived a life filled with tremendous passion and selfless service to others.
Visitation will be held from 3-5 p.m. on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton. Private, graveside services will be held at Weldon Cemetery, Weldon.
Kathleen dedicated her life to being an advocate for children. She worked hard as a Brownie and Girl Scout Troop leader, was a classroom mother to many and a bonus mom to any child in need of extra loving care.
She was a founding director of The Write Stuff for Kids, Inc., and she worked hard to receive grants for the Clinton Community School District to implement a computerized lunch program to protect childhood innocence.
Preceding her in death was her mother Donna, her father Bill, “Silo,” and her sister Penny.
Surviving her in death is her husband, Kenneth, and children Tami and Greg Apple, plus family; Amber and Robert Young, plus family, and Michael and LeeAnn Frick, plus family.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to your favorite charity or nonprofit group. One of Kathleen’s favorite nonprofits was Ruby Rescue and Retreat, NFP, McLean, IL, if you are looking for a recommendation.
