TROY, Ohio — M. Jean Woolery, age 89, of Troy, Ohio, passed away peacefully at her residence on December 31, 2020. She was born on August 5, 1931, in Piqua, Ohio, to the late John Harold and Margaret Amanda (Ketzel) Pearson.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Pam and David Pendleton, of Mt. Washington, Ky.; sons and daughters-in-law, Kent and Marsha Woolery, of Troy; Keith and Wendy Woolery, of Holly Springs, N.C.; grandchildren, Sarah (Tom) Schneider; Heather Woolery; Jared (Melissa) Pendleton; Justin Woolery and Kendall Woolery; great-grandchildren, Tristan Pendleton and Cael Pendleton; siblings, Richard “Dick” (Emma “Effie”) Pearson, of Fletcher; Joann (Robert) Fosnight, of Covington; Louise (Charles) Snead, of Troy; Nancy (Lynn) Bierly, of Fletcher; Janet (Day) Willse, of Okla., and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death on June 21, 2016, by her husband of 64 years of marriage, William G. “Bill” Woolery.
Jean was a graduate of Brown Local High School and attended Defiance College. She was a member of the First United Church of Christ, in Troy. She loved gardening, decorating her home and spending time with her family.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on January 11, 2021, at Riverside Cemetery, in Troy, Ohio, with the Rev. Lauren Allen officiating. Masks and social-distancing will be followed.
