CLINTON — Opal Marie Blue, 94, of Clinton, passed away at 12:18 p.m. on September 30, 2021, at her family residence, Clinton.

Services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, October 4, 2021, at the First Church of The Nazarene, Clinton, with the Rev. Michael Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Clinton. Visitation will be held from 2:30–3:30 p.m. on Monday at the church. Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to The First Church of the Nazarene, Clinton.

Marie was born on December 28, 1926, in Clinton, the daughter of William Raymond and Nancy Jane (Crum) Owens. She married Charles Rex Blue on October 28, 1945, in Virden, Ill. He passed away on April 27, 1995.

Survivors include her son, Brian Davis Blue, Clinton; four grandchildren,  Jimmy (Ashley) Blue, Adam (Heather) Blue, Justin Blue, and Andrea Shepard; and five great-grandchildren.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, William R. Owens, Hubert F. Owens, and Donald Edwin Owens, and one sister, Maxine Lillian Maltby.

Marie was a faithful member of The First Church of the Nazarene, Clinton.  She worked at The Dr. John Warner Hospital cafeteria for over 20 years.  Marie lived on a farm most of her life, where she worked along side her husband.
