HEYWORTH — Virginia A. “Sis” Mitchell, 68, of Heyworth, passed away at 12:31 p.m. on June 4, 2021, at her home in Heyworth.

Services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. on  Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with Ernie Harvey, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery Clinton. Visitation will be held from 10:30–11:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.

Virginia was born on May 18, 1953, in Clinton, the daughter of Welby and Alice (Vinson) Mitchell.

Survivors include children, Keisha (Jeremiah) Slayback and Candy (Wayne) Knoth; grandchildren, Kody Knoth, Michelle Guthrie, Desirae Singh, Dalton Meade, Trey Slayback, Briana Slayback, Katlyn Slayback, Adyson Slayback, and Emma Slayback; great -grandchildren, Bradley, Kye, Jiana, Iris, Vayda, Issiah, Trenton, Daylen, Ayzel, Riland, Kora, Athena, Avianna, and Sophia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Virginia was one of 13 children but very close to her sister, Angie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Chaddy, many of her brothers and sisters  and one niece.
