PORTAGE — Gloria Axtell, age 86, of Portage, formerly of Weldon, Ill., passed away on October 17, 2018. 

She was born on September 21, 1932 to the late Harold L. and Cathrine Helen Allan (nee Shinneman).  Gloria retired from Carson Pirie Scott and Kohl’s. 

She was preceded in death by her husband-Bruce; brother-Harold Allan; sister-Deloris Jackson.  Gloria is survived by her daughter-Kathy Gibson; grandson-Damon Twist; brother-Stewart Allan.

A graveside service for Gloria will take place on Thursday, November 1, 2018, at 1 p.m., at the Nixon Township Cemetery in Weldon, Pastor Don Ferrill officiating.
