CLINTON — Betty was born on December 09 1951, in Magee, Miss. and passed away in Panama City, Fla. on January 21 2024.

She moved from Mount Olive, Miss. to Clinton at the age of 12 and graduated from Clinton High School in 1969. After graduation, she married Terry Campbell and later married him again in 2004, and they lived a beautiful life together.

Betty worked at Action Technology, in Clinton, and was very passionate about her time there.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Terry, her father Harvey Tanner, of Mississippi, her mother Juanita Mix of Clinton, and one infant brother Jimmy Tanner, of Mississippi.

She is survived by her two brothers, Roger Don Tanner, of Mississippi; Billy (Tammy) Tanner of Bloomington, Ill., stepfather, Roger Mix, of Clinton; two step-sons, Adam (Chelsea) Campbell; their two children Parker and Addison, of Lincoln, Ill., and Michael Screeton and daughter Sophie, of Texas.

Betty’s nieces and nephews were her life, and she was known widely as “Aunt Betty.” Her nieces include Nita (Chad) Brazeale, Amber (Jason) McGraw, both of Mississippi; Kloey Tanner, of Astoria, Ill., Nephews include Jimmy (Tammy) Tanner, of Clinton;, Koty Tanner, of Peoria; Kasey Tanner, of Scottsdale, Ariz., and three great- nephews, Carter, Cash and Coltyn Tanner, of Wapella, and six great-nieces, Brooklyn, Paisley, Aspen, Templynn and Brynlee, all of Mississippi, and Billiejo of Astoria.

Betty loved watching her daily soap operas, the Hallmark Channel and playing pogo on her computer. She spent a lot of time having fun with her sister-in-law, Tammy, and dear friend Kim Quinn.

Betty enjoyed going to Panama City, Fla. for a couple of months in the winter to spend time at the beach and mingling with her friends. She was a proud member of the first Christian Church, in Clinton.

Betty loved to film every special occasion, especially holidays. So we are so grateful we have those memories to hold onto. Her last Thanksgiving, birthday and Christmas were recently celebrated with her family but came to an end way too soon. Our lives will never be the same without her. She is so sadly missed by all.

- In Loving Memory, Betty’s Family.
