CLINTON — The Clinton Maroons’ varsity fell Sept. 27 to the Eureka Hornets. Both teams were at 4-0 for the season coming into the game.
Early scoring by Eureka put them in the lead. Maroon’s offense and defense fought back, the offense capitalizing on some scoring opportunities for a pair of touchdowns. But, Eureka held tough, taking the win 19-14 and going 5-0.
Clinton, now at 4-1, next plays the Tri-Valley Vikings tonight in Downs. They’ll be back at home on October 11 to face Shelbyville.
