KENNEY — William Shane Peterson, 41, of Kenney, passed away on 10 p.m. on December 14, 2018, in Macon County as a result of a single-vehicle accident.
Celebration of Shane’s life will be conducted at noon on Saturday, January 12, 2019, at the First Christian Church, Clinton, with J. Kent Hickerson officiating. Visitation will be held from 11–noon at the church. Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be directed to William Shane Peterson memorial fund.
Shane was born on March 14, 1977, in Fort Worth, Texas, the son of Patrick Peterson and Kathleen Pitman. He married Jennifer Carter on March 13, 2012, in Clinton.
Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Peterson, Kenney; father, Patrick Peterson, Clinton; mother, Kathleen (John) Zeller, Minn.; children, Jonathan Peterson, Kenney, Gage, Decatur, Paris, Travis and Cameron all of Kenney, Alex Clymer, Ashley Jesse, Brittany Jesse; biological mother, Kelly Garcia, Tilden, Texas; grandmother, Rhea Peterson, Clinton; siblings, Jessica Keough, Pleasanton, Texas, Chelcie Garcia, Pleasanton, Texas, Cody Garcia, Jourdanton, Texas, Cory Garcia, Tilden, Texas, Shana Nickel, Minn., Eliza Zeller, Minn., Sheridan Zeller, Minn., and John Zeller, Minn.; and niece, Madison Keough, Pleasanton, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Paul “Bearpaw” Peterson.
Shane was a partner in Freedom Wood Restoration in Omaha, Neb. His interests include Native American Culture, powwows, fishing and home projects. He was a very dedicated and hard-working man. He loved his family and friends, and spending time with them.
